Homekeeping

David is finished with his comps! Here is Gracie, helping him remove the tabs from his books so that he can return them to the library.

After reading a link that Auntie Lelia posted, about the magic of housekeeping in the Brothers Grimm stories, I am inspired to clean my ovens. There is always a reward for industrious work, cheerfully done, and when the mysterious rules of housekeeping are respected, lovely things happen. A faery godmother may not appear, but having an oven that doesn't smoke when I bake will be magical, healthier and might inspire me to bake more often.

I fit in the box?  May I got to the library with you, Daddy?

David has been watching Metropolis, and was thinking about the connections to the "Virgin and the Dynamo" trope that he had read about in preparation for comps. There is a woman who inspires the workers, interceding for them, and nurturing new life. New life, the result of love, then takes a lot of love to nurture.

Shortly after having her firstborn, my friend remarked, "How can there be any wars, when we have each of us had this much love poured into us?"

Little Sheldon has gained four pounds of love since his birth seven weeks ago.
